Virtual Security Africa Limited (VSA) and Virtual Infosec Africa Limited (VIA) have awarded full scholarships to three brilliant but needy students to pursue university education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The scholarships cover tuition and approved university fees, as well as accommodation and living expenses for the duration of their programmes. This initiative marks the 18th anniversary celebrations of VSA and VIA.

The three beneficiaries are Amankwah Alexander Bempong, who will pursue a degree in Medicine, Reuben Ayitey, who will study Electrical Engineering, and Emmanuel Nsowaa Junior, who will study Computer Engineering. Alexander completed St. Peter's Senior High School in 2023, achieving 8A1s in his WASSCE, while Reuben and Emmanuel completed the same school in 2026 with 7A1s each. Despite their academic excellence, they faced financial hardship that threatened to derail their educational aspirations.

The scholarship award ceremony saw the Chief Executive Officer of VSA and VIA, Emmanuel Asiedu, urge the scholars to study diligently and remember their beginnings. He assured them of the Company's continued support throughout their journey under the Scheme. The Executive General Manager, Mrs Salomey Armoo, added that the company is investing in what matters most: people, and the future they will build for a better Ghana.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to VSA and VIA for investing in their future. Mrs Comfort Gomado, mother of Reuben Ayitey, on behalf of the families, thanked the Chief Executive Officer, the Board, and the Management of VSA and VIA for their generosity. This initiative reflects VSA and VIA's commitment to supporting education and contributing to the development of young people and communities.

VSA and VIA have secured what matters in Ghana's electronic and cybersecurity space for 18 years. The Company has also been involved in other philanthropic activities, including the sponsorship of a complete upgrade of the CCTV surveillance system at Mamprobi Hospital to strengthen the safety of patients, mothers, and newborns. The scholarship award is an extension of their commitment to the nation's future leaders.

The three scholars will begin their university journey at KNUST in the 2026/27 academic year. VSA and VIA remain hopeful that this opportunity will not only transform their individual lives but also enable them to make meaningful contributions to Ghana in the years ahead. The initiative is a testament to the Company's dedication to giving back to society and empowering the next generation of leaders.

The scholarship scheme is one of the many initiatives by VSA and VIA to give back to society. The Company continues to play a significant role in Ghana's electronic and cybersecurity space, and now, in the education sector. The impact of this initiative will be felt for years to come, as the beneficiaries make their mark in their respective fields.
