Vice President James Wani Igga has urged members of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) to unite ahead of general elections in South Sudan. He made the call during the launch of SPLM membership registration for Greater Juba Blocks at Medan Zahra in Juba. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, governor of Central Equatoria State and SPLM chairperson in the state, also urged members to remain united. Adil reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening unity within the SPLM and ensuring the party remains cohesive across Central Equatoria State. He called on party members to work together and avoid divisions that could weaken the party's structures and political activities.
The governor said unity among members would be essential as the SPLM strengthens its organisation and prepares for the upcoming elections. He further encouraged members to actively participate in the registration exercise and strengthen the party from the grassroots level.
