The Volkswagen California facelift is now available for order in the UK, with prices starting at £54,065 excluding VAT. The campervan, which is available in Beach, Coast, and Ocean versions, is expected to arrive in the UK in early 2027, just in time for the summer season. The California features a refreshed exterior design, including larger LED headlights and a new front end.
The exterior design of the California has been restyled, with a sharper look achieved through the use of larger LED headlights and a new front end. Power latching sliding doors and a power tailgate have also been added, along with new alloy wheel designs ranging from 17 to 19 inches. The California is available in 19 different colours, including solid, two-tone, and metallic finishes.
Inside the California, a redesigned cockpit features a 12.9-inch infotainment system that handles navigation, media, smartphone integration, and camping monitoring functions. The cabin also gains a California-specific fabric and colour scheme, new ambient lighting, and stronger phone charging. The eHybrid version of the California features a new electric stationary air conditioning system that can cool, ventilate, and heat the campervan for up to eight hours while parked or in use.
The California is available with a range of engine options, including a 150 PS 2.0 TDI and seven-speed DSG or a 245 PS 1.5 eHybrid with six-speed DSG and 4MOTION. The Beach version starts at £54,065 or £61,105, the Coast at £58,340 or £65,380, and the Ocean at £65,255 or £72,295.
In addition to the new features and design, the California also boasts updated software and driver assistance systems. The latest generation of Travel Assist supports assisted lane changes on motorways and recognises traffic lights. Integrated Emergency Assist can guide the vehicle to the hard shoulder or outermost lane if the driver suffers a medical emergency.
Volkswagen is offering finance deals for orders placed by 5 January 2027, starting from £549 a month on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan or £469 a month through Business Contract Hire. The 5+ Promise is included at no extra cost, covering five services, or three for electric models, three MOTs, a five-year warranty, and five years of roadside assistance.
The California can be configured on the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK website. The company has confirmed that all models are available with a range of features and options.
