She urged intensified diplomatic efforts to achieve an immediate, comprehensive, and unconditional ceasefire. DiCarlo stressed that diplomatic action must be accompanied by concrete de-escalation measures, warning that the absence of such efforts would only exacerbate risks to civilians, the region, and international peace and security.
In a related development, Chinese envoy to the UN Fu Cong stated that the negotiating table is the "starting point for peace." He urged all parties to work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Meanwhile, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz called on NATO to strengthen its "eastern guard" mission, citing the potential for incidents along the alliance's eastern flank.
