The competition will be held in various age categories: under 15, 17, 19, and 23 years old, as well as elite categories for men and women, and para-rowing.

The event is also an opportunity for the Tunisian Rowing Federation to generate revenue. The competition will be held on the 2000-meter Lake Bled course, which has an international "B" classification, allowing it to host international and Mediterranean events.
The African Championships, which will be held on September 29-30, will feature 95 rowers from various African countries, competing in different age categories and para-rowing. The participating countries are the same as those in the international competition, except for the United Arab Emirates, which will be replaced by Kenya. Tunisia's national team will be represented by 20 rowers, evenly split between men and women, with one para-rower.
The Tunisian national team's primary goal is to regain its continental leadership, having finished second in the overall standings during the previous edition, which was held in South Africa last year. The team will be led by experienced rowers, including Khédija Krimi and Salma El Dhawadi, who recently won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Amsterdam.
The Tunisian rowing team has been preparing for the African Championships, with the men's team led by Ghayth Qadri and Mohamed Krimi, who won a bronze medal in the lightweight double sculls event at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. In the para-rowing category, Tunisia will be represented by Maher Rahmani, who has gained significant experience through his participation in global competitions and Paralympic Games.
