Tunisia has been invited as the guest of honor at the first edition of the Fizan conference, scheduled to take place in Sebha, Libya, from November 24 to 26. Tunisian exports to Libya stood at around TND 2.469 billion during the same period. The council aims to leverage the conference to promote Tunisian products and services in the Libyan market.
The participation of Tunisia in the Fizan conference is also aligned with its broader strategy to strengthen economic ties with African countries. In 2025, Tunisian exports to African countries reached TND 6.882 billion, up from TND 6.406 billion in 2024. The Islamic Center for the Development of Trade has recognized Tunisia's potential to develop its halal products trade and enhance its exports.
