In an effort to improve healthcare services and patient experience, Tunisia's Tahar Maâmouri Hospital in Nabeul has launched a new mobile application called "Easy Saff". The app aims to regulate patient admissions and alleviate chronic overcrowding at the hospital's single admission desk. According to Rochdi Ben Harrath, the hospital's director, the initiative addresses numerous complaints from patients frustrated with lengthy waiting times and overcrowding.

The "Easy Saff" platform offers innovative interactive features, allowing patients to receive real-time updates on their admission status via SMS notifications. When collecting their ticket, patients provide their phone number and receive notifications informing them of their turn's progress. This feature enables citizens to attend to their daily activities without having to wait in hospital corridors.

The introduction of the mobile app is part of the hospital's efforts to modernize its services and align with the directives of the Minister of Health, who emphasizes the need for practical solutions to streamline patient care. To alleviate pressure, the hospital had previously relocated six external consultations, but the massive influx of patients to the region's only university hospital made a digital solution necessary.

The hospital's director, Rochdi Ben Harrath, announced the adoption of the new digital solution in an interview with Jawhara FM. He explained that the app is designed to regulate waiting times and eliminate the need for traditional admission procedures. The goal is to replace the congested traditional admission desk with a fully digitalized one.

In addition to the mobile app, the hospital is planning to implement new infrastructure projects. A new prefabricated pavilion will be built to accommodate a dedicated admission office. This space will be specifically designed for recording patient information and additional consultations, such as laboratory tests, radiography, scanner, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The hospital's efforts to improve patient experience and reduce waiting times are ongoing. The introduction of the "Easy Saff" mobile app is a significant step towards modernizing the hospital's services and enhancing patient care. The hospital aims to provide a more efficient and streamlined experience for patients, reducing congestion and waiting times.

The "Easy Saff" mobile app is a significant development in Tunisia's healthcare sector, demonstrating the country's commitment to leveraging technology to improve healthcare services. The app's success could potentially lead to its adoption in other hospitals across the country, further enhancing patient experience and care.
