In a collaborative effort, the associations "Klna Sidi Bouzid" and "Fa3eloun lil Tanmiya" have partnered with the Regional Education Commission in Sidi Bouzid to initiate awareness campaigns about diabetes prevention in schools. The campaigns, which began on September 22, aim to educate students in middle and high schools about the importance of preventing diabetes. The initiative seeks to address health challenges related to the disease.

According to Samia Hajlaoui, president of "Fa3eloun lil Tanmiya", four awareness campaigns have been scheduled, starting from September 22 at the Al-Had Nouvel middle school in Faiçal. The subsequent campaigns will take place at the Abou Al-Qasim Al-Shabi middle school in Bir El-Hafey on September 23, the Sidi Bouzid Al-Gharbiya middle school on September 24, and the Jallum high school on September 25.

Each campaign will feature a team of specialists in nutrition, pediatrics, and psychology. Additionally, a donation of a glucometer and its supplies will be made to each participating school. The program includes medical screenings, educational interventions, and discussions on the importance of balanced meals, physical activity, and recognizing early symptoms of diabetes.

The awareness campaigns also focus on promoting a supportive environment for students with diabetes, emphasizing the need for schools to take necessary measures in case of emergencies. Furthermore, the initiative aims to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of bullying and the importance of inclusivity towards their peers with diabetes.

The Regional Education Commission and partnering associations are working together to ensure the success of these campaigns. By educating students about diabetes prevention and promoting a culture of support, the initiative hopes to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of young people in Sidi Bouzid.

The awareness campaigns will provide students with essential knowledge and skills to maintain a healthy lifestyle. By engaging with students, teachers, and parents, the initiative aims to create a comprehensive approach to diabetes prevention and management in schools.

The launch of these awareness campaigns marks an important step towards promoting health and well-being in Sidi Bouzid's educational institutions. By working together, the partners hope to empower young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and manage diabetes.
