According to statistics from the Center for the Promotion of Exports, the total trade exchanges between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia in 2025 exceeded 1.1 billion Tunisian dinars, reaching approximately 1.144 billion dinars. This represents a growth of around 18.6% compared to 964 million dinars in 2024. The significant increase in trade exchanges between the two countries reflects the growing economic ties between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia.

Tunisian exports to the Saudi market saw a remarkable surge in 2025, rising from around 117 million dinars in 2024 to 276.2 million dinars in 2025. This represents an increase of approximately 136%, indicating a substantial growth in the presence of Tunisian products in the Saudi market. The growth in exports is a positive sign for Tunisia's economy, which has been seeking to diversify its trade partnerships and increase its exports to new markets.

The increase in trade exchanges and exports comes as 20 Tunisian companies, active in the food industry and agricultural products sector, are participating in the second edition of the International Food and Beverages Salon. The event is being held in Jeddah from September 27 to 29, 2026. The participating Tunisian companies are showcasing a diverse range of products, including olive oil, spices, sauces, salads, canned tomatoes, oils, and other food products.

The Tunisian participation in the salon is led by the olive oil sector, with a dedicated space within the national pavilion, supervised by the Technical Center for Packaging and Labeling. The space is designed to promote Tunisian products and enhance their presence among visitors and professionals. The event also features tasting sessions of various Tunisian products and dishes, prepared by a renowned Tunisian chef based in Saudi Arabia.

The International Food and Beverages Salon is one of the most prominent international events specialized in the food and beverage sector in Saudi Arabia. The current edition brings together over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 95 countries, showcasing over 100,000 food products and drinks. The event is expected to attract over 25,000 visitors, including professionals and decision-makers.

The Saudi market holds significant importance for Tunisian companies, as it serves as a major regional market and a key hub for import and re-export. This provides opportunities for Tunisian products to access the markets of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Asian markets. The participation in the salon offers Tunisian companies a platform to understand the needs and trends of the Saudi market and develop relationships with importers, distributors, and industry players.

The growth in trade exchanges and exports between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia reflects the increasing importance of the Saudi market as a destination for Tunisian products. The participation in the International Food and Beverages Salon provides a platform to enhance this presence and open up new opportunities for Tunisian products, supporting the diversification of export destinations and the expansion of the "Made in Tunisia" brand in international markets.
