The Tunisian government has regained control of the "Oum Hani 2" agricultural domain, located in Kabtana, Menzel Bourguiba, in the Bizerte governorate. This 47-hectare property was reclaimed on October 29, following the revocation of its occupant's exploitation rights due to multiple infractions. A technical advisory commission oversaw the reclamation, accompanied by representatives from relevant administrations and services, as well as a bailiff and the deposed occupant.

The reclaimed domain comprises 37 hectares planted with over 4,800 olive trees. The remaining 10 hectares, although fertile, were left uncultivated, featuring only a straw shed and unused equipment. The occupant had committed several infractions, including severe pruning of olive trees without authorization from the regional agricultural development commission, and selling the resulting wood without permission.

These infractions led to multiple warnings that were ignored, ultimately resulting in the revocation of the exploitation rights. The reclamation process was carried out in accordance with the law, with all parties present. The domain is now under the management of the Office des terres domaniales, which will oversee its future use.

The "Oum Hani 2" domain's reclamation is part of the government's efforts to rehabilitate and valorize state-owned agricultural lands. Bizerte's agricultural lands have been a focus area for the government, which aims to optimize their use and productivity. The reclaimed domain is expected to be reassigned, with the necessary legal procedures to be initiated.
