The first operation was conducted by troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, deployed at Lamingo, who rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested 11 suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate. The victims were reportedly abducted from Gwafan Community on September 18. The troops raided suspected criminal hideouts at Shere, Gwafan, and Maza Hills, leading to the arrest of 11 suspects. The rescued victims later identified three of the arrested suspects as members of the syndicate responsible for their abduction.
In another operation, troops of Sector 3 in Bassa recovered a locally fabricated rifle and arrested a suspect during a cordon-and-search operation. Meanwhile, troops of Sector 8 in Mangu apprehended another suspected criminal around the Water Board Area. The suspect was found with a locally fabricated automatic weapon, nine rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, and a mobile phone.
The arrested suspects are currently undergoing investigation.
