The 37th edition of the Tour du Faso has received significant support from the Banque Commerciale du Burkina (BCB), one of its main partners. The bank is sponsoring the jersey of the first Burkinabè cyclist in each stage. On October 31, 2026, the second stage of the tour concluded in Koudougou, where the BCB's local agency was present at the finish line. The bank's involvement in the tour is part of its efforts to promote Burkinabè cycling.

According to Gallitan Simporé, head of the BCB's Koudougou agency, the bank is performing well in the city despite competition from other financial institutions. Simporé attributes the bank's success to its state-owned status, flexible interest rates, and inclusive services that cater to all social categories. He also highlights that the BCB is not limited to serving traders, but offers services to all segments of the population.

The BCB's involvement in the Tour du Faso is also seen as an opportunity to promote Burkinabè identity. Simporé expressed his satisfaction with the bank's association with the event, stating that it aligns with the bank's values as a purely Burkinabè institution. By supporting the tour, the BCB aims to contribute to the country's positive image.

The second stage of the tour, which covered the route from Ouagadougou to Koudougou, had already seen two cyclists abandoning the competition. Despite this, the event remains a significant spectacle for Burkinabè cycling. The BCB's presence at the finish line in Koudougou was a testament to its commitment to supporting local sports.

For the third stage of the tour, which will connect Koudougou to Boromo, the BCB will provide sponsorship. Safiatou Tièmtoré/Sana, representing the BCB, has called on the public to turn out in large numbers to support the Burkinabè cyclists. The stage, which covers a distance of 158.90 km, is expected to feature three challenging sections.

The BCB's support for the Tour du Faso extends beyond financial sponsorship. The bank's representatives will be present at the third stage, adding to the event's excitement. According to Tièmtoré/Sana, the bank's management has authorized the presence of members of the General Directorate at the event.

As the Tour du Faso continues, the BCB's involvement is seen as a positive development for Burkinabè sports. The bank's commitment to promoting local cycling and supporting national events is expected to have a lasting impact on the country's sports landscape.
