The Tomorrow Is Here Movement, a prominent political support group in Enugu State, has mobilised thousands of voters across Enugu North Senatorial District, also known as Nsukka Zone, in support of the re-election of Governor Peter Mbah, President Bola Tinubu and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections. The mobilisation featured a victory walk across several communities in the district.

The rally, tagged “Victory Walk for All APC Candidates in Enugu North Senatorial Zone,” commenced at Opi, Nsukka, and proceeded through Orba, Obollo-Afor and Obollo-Eke in Udenu Local Government Area. It extended to Ogrute, Enugu-Ezike, in Igboeze North; Ibagwa-Aka in Igboeze South and other communities in Nsukka Local Government Area. Thousands of residents and supporters attended the event.

The Leader of the movement, Chief Tony Okonkwo, thanked the people for their massive participation, disclosing that the mobilisation attracted thousands of supporters, far exceeding the initial plan of 200 persons. He attributed the turnout to the growing acceptance of the Mbah and Tinubu administrations, citing infrastructure development, educational interventions and healthcare delivery.

Chief Okonkwo highlighted several achievements of the Mbah administration, including the ongoing dual carriageway from 9th Mile through Igbo-Etiti, Nsukka and Udenu to Benue. He also mentioned Nsukka's first indigenous Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Professor Simon Ortuanya, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund. The group also cited improved security, Smart Green Schools and modern healthcare facilities.

The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, Hon. Martins Ugwu-Amadieze, reaffirmed the commitment of the zone to the APC. He urged voters to reject attempts by opposition politicians to exploit tribal sentiments and political emotions ahead of the 2027 elections. Ugwu-Amadieze said the APC had demonstrated greater commitment to the development of the zone.

Other speakers at the rally, including the Chairman of Igboeze North Local Government Area, Dr. Chris Onyekachi, and the Deputy ALGON Chairman and council boss of Igboeze South Local Government Area, Barr. Ferdinand Ukwueze, expressed support for the APC. They attributed increased financial capacity of subnational governments to the economic reforms of the Tinubu administration and highlighted the party's capacity to deliver development.

The rally was attended by several dignitaries, including the APC State Secretary, Chukwudi Nnadozie, and the Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon Ezenta Ezeani. The event demonstrated the growing support for the APC in the Nsukka Zone and the readiness of voters to support the party's candidates in the 2027 elections.
