In a ceremony held on October 2 at the Agoè-Nyivé 3 community center, 110 underprivileged students from communes Agoè-Nyivé 3 and 6 received school uniforms and kits. The kits, comprising school uniforms, exercise books, geometric sets, colored pencils, rulers, and slates, were donated by the Association of Tailors and Seamstresses of Vakpossito (ACTAV), in collaboration with Conglomérat Horizon 2000 and the Agoè-Nyivé 3 municipality. This initiative aims to support disadvantaged students and promote access to education.

The ACTAV provided support to 95 students from three schools in Agoè-Nyivé 3, namely EPP Vakpossito, EPP Elavagnon, and EPP Logogomé, at a total cost of 385,000 F CFA. Each beneficiary received a school uniform, two 200-page exercise books, four 100-page exercise books, a geometric set, a pack of colored pencils, a ruler, and a slate. Additionally, 15 underprivileged students in Agoè-Nyivé 6 also received the same school kits. The donation reflects the partners' commitment to prioritizing education and providing children with necessary conditions to learn and grow.

The Deputy Mayor of Agoè-Nyivé 3, Alidjinou Mitognawo Eli, commended the ACTAV's initiative, highlighting its significance in making education a priority. He expressed gratitude to Conglomérat Horizon 2000 for its support, which included distributing school kits to around 20 students. The Deputy Mayor emphasized that this action demonstrates a shared willingness to contribute to providing children with the necessary conditions to learn, grow, and build their future.

Ahondo Georges, President of the ACTAV, explained that the initiative was born out of a reflection sparked by the association's clothing alteration work for some students. Observing the difficulties faced by some children in terms of clothing, the ACTAV decided to take action and provide support. Members of the association visited the concerned schools to identify students' needs and take their measurements to create tailored school uniforms.

Bayamina Marie-José, a CM1 student and beneficiary of the donation, expressed her gratitude to the donors for their kindness, which alleviates the difficulties faced by her and her family. She promised to redouble her efforts to succeed in her studies. This solidarity action is part of a broader effort to support underprivileged children and promote access to education, particularly during the back-to-school period.

The handover ceremony took place in the presence of parents, school principals, and tailors and seamstresses from the commune. The event highlights the importance of collaboration between local associations, municipalities, and communities in supporting disadvantaged students and promoting education. By providing school uniforms and kits, the ACTAV and its partners aim to help students focus on their studies and achieve their full potential.

The ACTAV's initiative demonstrates the impact that local organizations can have on their communities. By identifying specific needs and taking targeted action, the association and its partners can make a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged students. As the new school year begins, the recipients of the school uniforms and kits are set to benefit from a more supportive learning environment, thanks to the efforts of the ACTAV and its collaborators.
