The Chairman of CRJE (E.A) LTD and Chairman of the Chinese Enterprise Association in Tanzania (CEAT), Mr. Jiang Yuntao, has expressed his commitment to supporting Tanzania's Vision 2050. Speaking at the Phoenix Global Development Forum for Enterprises–Tanzania, held on October 3, 2026, at the Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Jiang emphasized CRJE's role in leveraging its strengths to work hand in hand with partners from all sectors in Tanzania to achieve the vision.

The Phoenix Global Development Forum for Enterprises–Tanzania was co-organized by Phoenix TV and CEAT under the theme “Discover New Africa, Explore New Opportunities.” The forum brought together approximately 100 guests from government, business, and academia. Notable guests of honor who gave opening remarks included Hon. Prof. Kitila Mkumbo, Minister of State, President’s Office – Planning and Investment, Tanzania; Mr. Shigeki Komatsubara, UNDP Resident Representative in Tanzania; and Her Excellency Chen Mingjian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Tanzania.

Mr. Jiang Yuntao traced CRJE's history in Tanzania back to the Tanzania–Zambia Railway (TAZARA) project, which began in 1969. He noted that CRJE's mother company dispatched 1,114 employees to build 506,400 square meters of facilities, including 93 stations, repair plants, training schools, and hospitals. After TAZARA entered operation, CRCEG retained a maintenance team, which was formally registered in Dar es Salaam in 2000 and renamed CRJE (E.A) LTD in 2013.

Tanzania's National Development Vision 2050, launched by President Samia Suluhu Hassan in July 2025, aims to build a prosperous, just, inclusive, and self-reliant nation. Recent milestones, such as the September 2025 signing of the TAZARA revitalization project and the November 2025 joint statement by China, Tanzania, and Zambia on the TAZARA Prosperity Belt, support the vision. Mr. Jiang outlined CRJE's plans to support Vision 2050 by consolidating socio-economic foundations through infrastructure development.

CRJE has been involved in various infrastructure projects in Tanzania, including the construction of five-star hotels such as Kilimanjaro Hotel, Gran Melia Arusha, and Park Hyatt Zanzibar. The company has also contributed to the development of Nyerere Bridge, Mtwara Port, Iringa Irrigation, and Geita power lines. Additionally, CRJE delivered the Terminal 1 VIP building in 75 days and is currently constructing the Arusha Stadium for next year's Africa Cup of Nations.

Mr. Jiang emphasized CRJE's commitment to local employment, with Tanzanians making up over 90 percent of its workforce. The company provides mentor-apprentice training and has launched the Chinese Workmanship for Tanzania Future Talent Development Program. CRJE also prioritizes sustainability and innovation, as evident in the Kinondoni Composting Plant, which processes 50 tons of waste per day, and the adoption of green construction and digital solutions.

In conclusion, CRJE remains dedicated to its original aspiration of developing hand in hand with Tanzania. As Mr. Jiang stated, “Times change, our business sectors change, and projects change — but CRJE’s original aspiration of developing hand in hand with Tanzania has never changed.” The company's commitment to supporting Vision 2050 and contributing to Tanzania's socio-economic development is unwavering.
