From September 1 to 9, 2026, Sunlife hosted 11 representatives from the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) in Mauritius. The FAM Trip aimed to strengthen the island's position as an international golf destination. Organized with the support of Kreola, the trip allowed participants to experience the diversity of Mauritian golf courses and the hospitality offered by Sunlife. The representatives came from countries such as Australia, South Korea, Finland, and Poland.

The IAGTO, founded in 1997, is one of the main international networks dedicated to golf tourism. The association has 2,593 members from 93 countries, including golf clubs and courses, hotels, receptive operators, airlines, tourism offices, media, and specialized partners. It also brings together 793 tour operators specialized in golf travel, spread across 65 countries. The IAGTO members represent over 90% of the golf vacation packages marketed worldwide.

During their stay, the participants experienced Sunlife's "Sunrise to Sunset" golf offer, which allows golfers to enjoy iconic courses located on the east and west coasts of the island. Several competitions and golf games were organized during the FAM Trip on some of the most renowned courses in Mauritius, including Anahita Golf Club, Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club, La Réserve Golf Links, Constance Links, and Tamarina Golf Club.

A grand gala evening was held on September 8, 2026, at the Long Beach to award prizes. Steven Baron of CGE Golf Pty Ltd and Tim Hyland of Travel Express Golf won the golf tournament at the end of the stay. The participants stayed at the Long Beach and discovered the different facets of Sunlife's golf offer.

According to Kevin Hopive, Group Head Of Sales at Sunlife, "Sunlife was delighted to welcome IAGTO to Mauritius and to our resorts. Through our experiences on the east and west coasts, we offer golfers privileged access to exceptional courses, particularly at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club, Anahita Golf, and Tamarina Golf Club. This diversity allows us to offer a unique golf offer, combining internationally renowned courses with the hospitality and know-how of Sunlife."

The FAM Trip was an opportunity for Sunlife to showcase its golf offer and for the IAGTO representatives to experience the island's golfing possibilities. The event demonstrated the importance of partnerships between golf tour operators and hospitality providers in promoting golf tourism.

The success of this event highlights the potential of Mauritius as a golf destination and the role that Sunlife and other hospitality providers can play in promoting the island's golfing industry. The collaboration between Sunlife and IAGTO is expected to contribute to the growth of golf tourism in Mauritius.
