Spanish police have identified 12-14 individuals who claim to be Moroccan military personnel during the dismantling of an irregular migrant camp on the beach of "Trambolin" in the city of Ceuta. According to reports from the Spanish newspaper "El Español", these individuals were part of a larger group of around 3000 people in an irregular situation. The Spanish authorities' operation, which began last Saturday, confirmed warnings from Spanish military intelligence.

The identified individuals were found to be carrying military water bottles and sleeping bags with Moroccan military insignia. They maintained constant communication with each other via mobile phones. When confronted by Spanish riot police, they admitted to being military personnel but claimed to be "deserters" seeking asylum due to fear of reprisal. However, this claim has raised suspicions among Spanish authorities.

The Spanish newspaper reported that the individuals showed a high level of alertness and interest in the tactics and equipment used by the Spanish security forces. They also displayed coordinated movements to avoid identity checks. According to sources, there was a system in place to resist the situation for an extended period.

Following the dismantling of the camp, around 1100 of the 3000 migrants gathered on the beach of Ceuta returned to Morocco on foot to avoid identification. It is suspected that at least 72 Moroccan military personnel were present in Ceuta to coordinate actions against public order and Spanish armed forces.

Documents obtained by the Spanish newspaper revealed that the Moroccan military personnel and intelligence agents infiltrated Ceuta with the aim of acting as "centers of gravity" by coordinating places of stay, evaluating Spanish response capabilities, and promoting chaotic actions in the city.

The identified individuals will be part of a larger group of 22 intelligence agents from Rabat and 50 military personnel in service who were detected by Spanish secret services. This confirms the Moroccan strategy of infiltration, as reported by the Spanish newspaper.

The Spanish police operation not only faced resistance from the infiltrated military personnel but also encountered several groups of migrants hiding in hard-to-reach areas to avoid identification. Many of these individuals are suspected to have prior criminal records or outstanding deportation orders.
