A judicial delegation has been sent to Senegal's Brigade de recherches in Faidherbe to continue investigating an alleged cocaine trafficking network involving F.B. GUÈYE, alias "Rose", and two Nigerian nationals. The judge from the sixth cabinet of Dakar's Tribunal de grande instance hors classe has asked investigators to pursue the inquiry and identify potential additional suspects. This development follows a tip-off about an international cocaine trafficking ring.
According to Seneweb, one of the alleged suppliers, a Nigerian national, remains at large and is subject to a travel ban. Investigators discovered that this individual was in phone contact with a popular private TV show host currently detained in a separate case. The host may be questioned after the fugitive's arrest. The investigation began with a tip-off about an international cocaine trafficking network.
An undercover agent made contact with 25-year-old F.B. GUÈYE to purchase a gram of cocaine, leading to her arrest at 3 am in a furnished apartment near the VDN. She had the ordered quantity in her possession. During questioning, she admitted to owning the cocaine and revealed she obtained it from her boyfriend, R.S. GUISSÉ. The BR de Faidherbe instructed her to order another gram from GUISSÉ, who was subsequently arrested.
A search of GUISSÉ's room uncovered a small quantity of cocaine. He admitted to being a drug consumer and claimed to have purchased two grams from his alleged supplier, K.M. OGBU, a Nigerian national. OGBU was arrested with the ordered quantity. The investigation of his phone led to another Nigerian national, M. NWAFOR, who was arrested in Dieuppeul.
NWAFOR identified his alleged supplier, who was already known to investigators but remains at large. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, is believed to be involved in the international cocaine trafficking network. Authorities are working to apprehend the fugitive and uncover the extent of the network.
The case has led to several arrests, including F.B. GUÈYE, R.S. GUISSÉ, K.M. OGBU, and M. NWAFOR. Investigators aim to dismantle the alleged cocaine trafficking network and bring all involved individuals to justice. The BR de Faidherbe is handling the investigation under the supervision of the judicial authorities.
The developments in the case have not been commented on by the authorities, but sources close to the investigation confirm that the probe is ongoing. Babacar NGOM, a journalist with WalFadjri, reported on the case, providing insights into the investigation. The alleged cocaine trafficking network's scope and connections are yet to be fully revealed.
