A new development has emerged in the case involving F.B. Guèye, her companion, and two Nigerian nationals, who are being prosecuted for their alleged involvement in a cocaine trafficking network. On September 24, 2026, the investigating judge of the sixth chamber of the Dakar High Court outside the city, ordered a judicial delegation to the Faidherbe Research Brigade (BR) to continue investigations and identify potential other individuals involved in the alleged drug trafficking ring.

According to reports from Seneweb, the investigating judge has tasked the BR with finding a Nigerian supplier who is currently on the run. The suspect, who has been identified, is believed to be in hiding and is subject to a travel ban. The investigation also reveals that the Nigerian suspect had been in contact with a well-known TV presenter from a private television station.

The TV presenter, who is currently in detention on unrelated charges, may be questioned in connection with this case, particularly if the fugitive supplier is apprehended. At this stage, the presenter's identity has not been disclosed, and any potential involvement remains a line of investigation. The case initially began with a tip-off about an international cocaine trafficking network.

An undercover agent made contact with F.B. Guèye, alias "Rose," 25, to purchase a gram of cocaine. She was arrested at 3 am in a furnished apartment near the VDN, in possession of the requested quantity. During interrogation, she admitted to owning the seized drugs and claimed to have obtained them from her partner, R.S. Guissé. Investigators then instructed F.B. Guèye to place a new order with her partner.

R.S. Guissé was subsequently arrested, and a small quantity of cocaine was found during a search of his room. He admitted to being a drug user and identified his supplier as K.M. Ogbu, a Nigerian national. Ogbu was arrested with the two grams of cocaine ordered. Further investigation led to the arrest of another Nigerian national, M. Nwafor, who was taken into custody at Dieuppeul.

The investigation has so far led to the arrest of four suspects, including F.B. Guèye, her partner, and two Nigerian nationals. They were presented to the prosecutor of the Republic at the Dakar High Court outside the city. Charges include association of malefactors, possession and use of cocaine, and international trafficking of hard drugs. The case continues to unfold with the involvement of the TV presenter.

The developments in this case have sparked widespread interest, particularly given the involvement of a well-known TV presenter. The authorities have yet to confirm any further details about the presenter's alleged role. The investigation is ongoing, and more information is expected to emerge as the case progresses.
