Londiwe Ngcamu, a self-styled princess, has responded to allegations made by King Misuzulu kaZwelithini that she is an impostor who defrauds people by claiming close ties to the Zulu Royal Family. Ngcamu, who has been rejected by almost all royal houses in the Zulu kingdom, demands evidence to support the claims. King Misuzulu made the allegations during the Reed Dance at eMashobeni Royal Palace in Phongolo last weekend, expressing concern about an alleged impostor who goes around calling herself a princess and allegedly duping people of millions of rand. Ngcamu told the National Media Group's Isolezwe that she is challenging her accusers to come forward with evidence. She wants to know if there is anybody who has said she defrauded them and wants the monarchy to open a case against her so that she can present herself to the police. Ngcamu stated that millions of rand are not a small sum that can be spoken about carelessly and that the allegations are serious. She might seek legal recourse in court but is choosing to follow the traditional route.
Ngcamu suggested that the king's speechwriter may have misled the monarch, stating that the king was reading a prepared speech. She claimed that whoever wrote the speech for the king wants him to look bad and be accused of saying unsubstantiated things. Ngcamu said she can show more than ten videos of her speaking with the monarch. She also mentioned that the king had chosen to work with her because she was close to the late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu.
