The Regional Theatre of Naama is organizing the second edition of the theatre days dedicated to Amhamed Ben Kettab, 12 years after his passing. The event will run from October 10 to 14 and will feature a rich program including five theatre performances, specialized workshops, masterclasses, and various intellectual seminars.
According to the program, the theatre performance "Al-Mehras" will inaugurate the second edition of the theatre days, produced by the theatre group of the University of Sidi Bel Abbes. The next day, the play "Al-Mataya" will be presented, written and directed by Moulay Melyani Muhammad Murad and produced by the cultural association "Jawaher Al-Masrah wal Funun" of Ain Timouchent.
The third day of the event will feature the theatrical performance "Nirvana" by the cooperative "Sarti Flery for Arts and Youth" of Sidi Bel Abbes. On the fourth day, the theatre group of Jijel will present a show entitled "Al-Tulala" by the cultural association Tiziri. The theatrical performances will conclude on the fifth and final day with a work by the workshop "Dream of Art" of Oran, entitled "One of the Audience".
In addition to the theatrical performances, two days have been dedicated to intellectual seminars. Dr. Lakhdar Mansouri from the Department of Literary and Critical Studies at the University of Oran will give a lecture entitled "An Approach to the Theatrical Performance in the Works of Sirat Boumedin". Dr. Habib Soalmi from the Department of Arts at the University of Tlemcen will also present a lecture on "Theatrical Performance in Algerian Theatre".
The event will also feature masterclasses and workshops. A masterclass on scenography will be led by Dr. Hamza Jab Allah, and a workshop on vocal training will be led by Mr. Abdelhakim Al-Madani. The event will conclude with the distribution of certificates to participants and the announcement of the winners of the various prizes.
The prizes to be awarded include the best overall performance, the prize for innovation, and the distribution of participation certificates and commemorative shields. The event aims to promote theatre and cultural activities in Algeria.
