Prophet Ernest Nyirindekwe, a Rwandan pastor, recently attended an international conference called "Injira mu gihe cyawe – Edition 5" in Portland, Maine, USA. The event, organized by Elayono USA, brought together Christians from the US, Canada, and other countries. The conference was also livestreamed on YouTube and Google Meet, attracting a global audience. The gathering featured prayers, biblical teachings, testimonies, and worship.
During the conference, Prophet Ernest expressed his pride in being Rwandan and emphasized the importance of unity among Rwandans. He urged Rwandans living abroad to return home and contribute to the country's development. He cited the example of the Israelites, who regained their homeland in 1948, and encouraged Rwandans to do the same. Prophet Ernest prayed for those without travel documents, asking that they soon obtain them and return home to build and invest in Rwanda.
On the second day of the conference, Prophet Ernest reiterated his pride in being Rwandan and encouraged Rwandans abroad to visit their homeland. He described Rwanda as a beautiful country with a promising future, where people can live in peace and security. He invited those who have not visited Rwanda to come and experience it for themselves. Prophet Ernest also emphasized the importance of unity and encouraged Rwandans to continue praying for the countries where they live.
Prophet Ernest shared his personal testimony, recalling his experience of loving someone in 2008 but being rejected. He said he held onto this person for four years, but eventually, he realized he had to let go and move on. He credited God with helping him understand that holding onto the past can prevent one from embracing new opportunities. Prophet Ernest used this testimony to encourage conference attendees to let go of past hurts and focus on their future.
The prophet outlined four principles for entering one's "season": knowing the time and season one is in, letting go of the past, being guided by integrity, and believing in Jesus Christ. He emphasized the importance of knowing when to speak and when to remain silent, citing the book of Ecclesiastes. Prophet Ernest encouraged attendees to be mindful of their words and actions, as they can either open or close doors to new opportunities.
Prophet Ernest has been involved in ministry for 19 years, since 2007, when he accepted Jesus Christ and felt called to prophetic ministry. He founded the Elayono Pentecostal Blessing Church, which has branches in Canada, the UK, and Belgium. Through his ministry, he seeks to spread the gospel and encourage people to live according to God's will. The "Injira mu gihe cyawe – Edition 5" conference provided an opportunity for worship, biblical teaching, and testimony.
The conference concluded with a call to action, as Prophet Ernest encouraged Rwandans abroad to return home and contribute to the country's development. He emphasized that Rwanda is a beautiful country with a bright future and encouraged attendees to invest in it. By sharing his message of unity, hope, and development, Prophet Ernest aims to inspire Rwandans to work together towards a brighter future.
