The Egyptian Radio and Television Union reported that the country's weather forecast predicts continued stable autumnal weather in most governorates, with chances of rain in some areas. According to Dr. Manar Ghannam, a meteorologist at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, the country is expected to experience autumnal weather with some rain. The rain is expected to be less intense than in the past two days.
Dr. Ghannam stated that there will be a chance of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in areas such as Halayeb, Shalatin, Marsa Alam, and southern parts of the Red Sea governorate. She also warned that the rain-bearing clouds in these areas will be thundery. Additionally, there is a weak chance of light rain in coastal areas and northern parts of the country.
The meteorologist predicted that the temperature in Cairo will range between 29-30 degrees Celsius during the day, with a moderate climate expected on the northern coast and a hot climate in the face of the sea and Cairo. However, the climate will be very hot in the southern part of the country during the day. At night, the climate will be moderate, but it will tend to be cold in most areas, especially in new cities and open areas.
Dr. Ghannam also mentioned that the country's weather will be influenced by a low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, starting from Wednesday, which will increase the chances of rain in northern governorates, especially in coastal areas. She emphasized the importance of monitoring daily weather forecasts during the autumn season, as there is a possibility of changes in weather forecasts.
The meteorologist warned of the dangers of thundery clouds and accompanying weather phenomena, such as downdrafts and lightning. She stressed the need for caution in areas experiencing these weather phenomena. Dr. Ghannam also advised citizens to be aware of the type of clothing suitable for temperature fluctuations and to continue wearing summer clothes during the day.
The temperature is expected to drop starting from Thursday, with a slight drop in temperature during the day and a more noticeable drop at night. The meteorologist predicted that the temperature in Cairo will range between 19-20 degrees Celsius at night, while in new cities it will range between 17-18 degrees Celsius.
Dr. Ghannam concluded that citizens should be cautious while driving on roads during foggy periods and take necessary precautions. The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has warned citizens to be prepared for the changing weather conditions and to follow daily weather forecasts.
