Qatar Charity, through its Tunisia office, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hadi Rais Institute for Eye Diseases. The agreement, signed on October 5, 2026, aims to conduct surgical operations to remove cataracts for 100 patients. The event took place at the institute's headquarters in Tunis, in the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Qatar's ambassador to Tunisia, Zaid bin Said Al-Khiarin.

The partnership also includes conducting 100 additional cataract surgeries at Jendouba University Hospital. This initiative enables patients to access specialized medical treatment and regain their vision. According to a statement released by Qatar Charity, this endeavor is part of its efforts to support Tunisia's healthcare sector and enhance cooperation between healthcare institutions and humanitarian organizations.

The agreement was signed in the presence of several officials, including Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Al-Janahi, Director of Developmental Operations at Qatar Charity, and Rym Al-Faqih, Director of the Hadi Rais Institute for Eye Diseases. The initiative is expected to provide medical assistance to patients who face difficulties in accessing surgical treatment.

Qatar's ambassador to Tunisia, Zaid bin Said Al-Khiarin, expressed his satisfaction with the development of Tunisia's healthcare sector. He thanked Tunisian officials, including President Kais Saied, for the facilitation provided to Qatar Charity in its work in Tunisia. Al-Khiarin also praised the high level of Tunisian medical professionals in the field of medicine.

Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Al-Janahi stated that this initiative is part of Qatar Charity's ongoing healthcare efforts in several countries.
