A presentation was given by the Regional Agricultural Development Commission on an evaluation of the previous farming season and preparations for the 2026/2027 season. A total of 229,000 hectares have been allocated for major crops, including 200,000 hectares for grain sowing. Additionally, a representative from the local chemical complex discussed the importance of chemical fertilizers in agricultural production.
The meeting also assessed the process of supplying the local market during the 2025-2026 farming season and preparations to provide chemical fertilizers. This included securing the region's needs for chemical fertilizers, such as agricultural ammonium nitrate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, and triple superphosphate. Technical and logistical preparations are currently underway.
The agricultural guidance cells in various delegations of the region have started organizing training sessions for a number of farmers, as well as conducting field visits and awareness campaigns. These campaigns have included interventions by technicians at the farm level. The analysis of seeds has begun in collaboration with the National Institute for Large-Scale Agriculture, and soil samples have been taken for 512 farmers.
As of September 18, 2026, 362 soil samples have been analyzed, and agricultural alerts have been issued regarding the control of diseases transmitted through grains. The Governor of the region highlighted the pivotal role played by banking and financial institutions in supporting the grain system. He also called for greater facilitation of farmers' access to seasonal loans and strengthening of agricultural insurance mechanisms.
The meeting recommended the need for coordination between various services of the Regional Commission for Agricultural Development, the Grain Office, the Chemical Complex, and the National Institute for Large-Scale Agriculture. This coordination aims to increase the pace of supply and provision of seeds and chemical fertilizers to meet the needs of farmers, especially small ones.
