The Group Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Revocube Technologies, Olanrewaju Ogunkunle, unveiled the project on October 4, 2026. He emphasized that Port Solis is a practical demonstration of how technology, energy, mobility, and hospitality can work together to improve everyday living. Ogunkunle stated that the project's goal is to make life easier for people and enhance their overall well-being. By bringing together various subsidiaries of Revocube Group, Port Solis represents a unique fusion of expertise and resources.
Port Solis features an array of amenities, including Seven Knots, a boutique hotel built from repurposed shipping containers; The Bridge, a multipurpose event and media space; a unisex salon and spa; a co-working facility; Solis Bistro and Lounge; and Solis Express, a convenience hub. The facility's design prioritizes sustainability, incorporating electric vehicle charging infrastructure and repurposing shipping containers for accommodation. This approach not only reduces waste but also minimizes the project's environmental footprint.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Biodun Ogunleye, commended the promoters of Port Solis for integrating hospitality, wellness, entertainment, and renewable energy into a single development. Ogunleye noted that the project aligns with the state's efforts to address rising energy demand and promote cleaner sources of power. He emphasized that Lagos's conversation around renewable energy extends beyond climate commitment, focusing on energy security, economic competitiveness, and improving the quality of life for residents.
Seun Oluwalade, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of EV World Africa, delivered a keynote address highlighting the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing Nigeria's energy and transportation challenges. Oluwalade advocated for stronger infrastructure, policy, partnerships, technical capacity, and financing to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility and renewable energy. He recommended that new homes and commercial buildings be designed with provisions for electric vehicle charging and proposed financing models such as lease-to-own and pay-as-you-go.
Felicia Onogwu, Business Manager of Port Solis, described the facility as an experience centre that combines hospitality and sustainability.
