The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, has launched two police hospitals in Offa and Omu-Aran to enhance healthcare delivery to police personnel and host communities. During the separate ceremonies in Offa and Omu-Aran, Adekimi laid the foundation for the expansion and upgrade of the Omu-Aran Police Hospital into a multispecialist facility. The hospitals will serve both police personnel and the public. Adekimi expressed appreciation to traditional rulers and residents for supporting the projects. He highlighted the importance of sustained police-community partnerships in achieving the initiative's goals.

The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, Esuwoye II, commended the police for the hospital, describing it as a significant contribution to public welfare. He urged police authorities to maintain high service standards. The Chairman of Offa Local Government Area, Suleiman Olatunji Omituntun, also praised the initiative and encouraged residents to utilize the facility.

At Omu-Aran, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti Agboluaje, donated additional land for the hospital's expansion into a multispecialist facility. The monarch noted that the facility would address the healthcare needs of the growing population. Adekimi and the traditional ruler performed the foundation-laying ceremony for the upgrade.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Medical Services in Kwara State, Dr. Abdulquadri Balogun, provided details on the project scope. Plans are underway to establish police hospitals across all Area Commands in the state. The proposed multispecialist expansion aims to strengthen access to quality and affordable healthcare.

Dr. Balogun commended the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, the Force Medical Director, AIG Dr. Nkechi Eze, and the Kwara State Commissioner of Police for facilitating the health sector development. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to prioritize personnel welfare while deepening community relations.

The police command's Public Relations Officer, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, disclosed the development in a statement. The hospitals were established to serve both police personnel and members of the public with qualified medical professionals.
