Kericho will stay calm through the morning, followed by afternoon showers and thunderstorms alongside a daytime maximum of 26°C. Strong winds are expected in the North, with the met department warning of “strong southerly to southeasterly winds of above 25 knots (12.5m/s) expected over parts of Turkana, Samburu, Marsabit, and Isiolo Counties.” This could potentially impact outdoor activities and daily life for residents in these areas.
Northern Kenya will stay mostly hot and dry, but residents should brace for gusty atmospheric conditions. Nairobi and the Central Highlands will enjoy mild daytime conditions, with Nairobi residents experiencing temperatures ranging between a minimum of 15°C and a maximum of 27°C.
Nighttime temperatures will drop sharply in Nyandarua County, which is expected to record the lowest minimum temperature in the country at 5°C alongside daytime highs of 24°C. Eldoret in Uasin Gishu County will see daytime temperatures reach 26°C after an overnight low of 11°C. The forecast remains valid from 9.00 pm on September 27, 2026, to 9.00 pm on September 28, 2026.
