The seventh edition of "Chance Street 2026" took place on September 19-20, 2026, at the Culture City in Tunis, with over 700 participants in attendance. The event was co-organized by the Tunisian-German Center for Migration and Development (ZME) and the National Agency for Employment and Independent Work (ANETI). This initiative, launched in 2023, has so far attracted around 2,500 participants across six editions held in Tunis, Kairouan, and Sfax.
The event saw significant mobilization from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with around 280 young people from Greater Tunis and the governorates of Banzert, Zaghouan, and Nabeul in attendance. The event aimed to go beyond traditional media events and create an open space for young people from various backgrounds and specialties to explore opportunities.
The event featured an interactive maze covering an area of 15x10 meters, consisting of 40 panels distributed across eight axes. This allowed visitors to explore various paths and opportunities, including education, vocational training, higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, foreign employment, return and reintegration, and opportunities in Germany.
Several advisors were present to accompany participants and provide tailored information and guidance. The two-day event also included practical workshops and information sessions led by partners, focusing on topics such as study and scholarship opportunities in Germany, vocational training and employment, alternating training, the Erasmus+ program, job search techniques, and preparing a professional project.
One of the new features of this edition was the immersive experience using virtual reality technology, proposed by the Tunisian-German Center. This allowed visitors to discover the various stages of a project for systematic migration to Germany in an interactive way, from project preparation to stabilization and integration.
The seventh edition of "Chance Street" also marked an important milestone in the development of the event. As part of the gradual transfer of services from the Tunisian-German Center to the National Agency for Employment and Independent Work, the goal is to enable the agency to oversee the management of this initiative and ensure its sustainability in the medium term.
With over 700 participants registered over two days, "Chance Street 2026" confirms the importance of this platform, which allows young people to engage directly with various stakeholders, ask questions, and gain a tangible understanding of the various options and opportunities available to them.
