The Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF) is expected to attract over 1,000 exhibitors and 500,000 visitors from 20 countries across the globe. The event, organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), will take place in Lagos and is set to be flagged off by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on November 6. This year's edition marks the 40th anniversary of the fair.

According to Princess Layo Bakare-Okeowo, Chairman of the Trade Promotion Board at LCCI, the exhibitors have already expressed their interest in participating in the event. A major feature of this year's edition is the Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government Room, aimed at connecting exhibitors with bulk buyers, building a network of business partners, and signing deals.

The Business-to-Business Room is a significant addition to the fair, representing a shift from a consumer-focused event to a merchandise-focused one. This change is part of the fair's efforts to mark its 40th anniversary. The event also features a Children's Corner, designed for pupils and students from primary and secondary schools across Lagos to have fun.

The Children's Corner was sponsored by the Tolaram Group, the parent company of Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Noodles, last year. The company has also expressed interest in sponsoring the aspect of the fair this year. The LCCI has also announced a three-year deal with Zenith Bank as the official banker of the fair, starting from this year's event.

With over 1,000 exhibitors and 500,000 visitors expected to attend, the event is poised to provide a platform for businesses to network, sign deals, and promote their products. The fair's 40th anniversary edition is expected to be a major milestone.

The event's organizers have expressed gratitude to the Tolaram Group and Zenith Bank for their support. The fair is expected to provide a boost to the country's economy, particularly in the areas of trade and commerce. The LCCI has been working to ensure that the event is a success, with a focus on promoting Nigerian businesses.

As the event approaches, stakeholders are optimistic about the impact it will have on the country's economy.
