Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing Osun Central Senatorial District, has initiated several developmental projects in his constituency. He recently flagged off a 7.5 MVA power transformer substation project in Ila-Orangun, Osun State. This project aims to improve the power supply in the area. In addition to the power transformer substation project, Fadeyi also commenced work on a two-kilometre road leading to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital in Ila-Orangun. This road construction project is expected to enhance access to the hospital and improve the overall infrastructure in the area. The senator's efforts are geared towards improving the living standards of his constituents.
Fadeyi's developmental projects also include a five-kilometre solar-powered streetlight project from Otan-Ayegbaju to Ila-Orangun. This project aims to provide sustainable and reliable street lighting in the area. The senator inspected several completed projects, including the Open University Community Centre in Ifon-Osun and Oke-Ila, as well as the construction of two blocks of 16 shops at a market mall in Inisa.
The senator's inspection tour also covered several completed projects, including four blocks of classrooms at Ota-Efun Community Grammar School in Olorunda Local Government and Anglican Grammar School in Iree, Boripe Local Government. These projects were initiated to improve the educational infrastructure in the area. Fadeyi emphasized that more developmental projects would soon commence across the 10 local government areas in Osun Central Senatorial District.
According to Fadeyi, the senatorial projects were selected after consultations with residents of the various communities where they were located. He challenged politicians to create avenues for exchanging ideas with their constituents to meet and surpass their expectations. The senator's approach to project implementation is based on the needs and priorities of his constituents.
Fadeyi's 2027 ambition has been a subject of discussion, but he assured that it would not distract him from his current responsibilities. In a related development, Fadeyi recently donated N20 million to victims of a rainstorm that destroyed private and public property in Osogbo. The donation was made through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Desmond Adekanola. The rainstorm had caused significant damage to properties in several areas, including Awosuru, Testing Ground, Igbona, and Ogooluwa.
