The Governing Council of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, has decided to construct a students' hostel under a Public-Private Partnership arrangement. The Council also congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the August 15, 2026 governorship election. The meeting, which was attended by the Provost, Dr. Lateef Olarewaju Raheem, also approved the appointment of Dr. Rasheed Kolawole as Deputy Provost, Academics, and Mrs. Abimbola Moradeke Asiyanbola as Deputy Provost, Administration. The two appointments are for two-year tenures, according to the decisions reached by the Council.
In another move aimed at strengthening the financial base of the College, the Council constituted a Venture Committee to identify and develop new opportunities for improving its Internally Generated Revenue. This committee will play a crucial role in enhancing the College's financial capacity to implement its plans and programs.
The Council further approved the enrolment of members of the College's ad-hoc staff in the Osun Health Insurance Scheme. This move is expected to extend health insurance coverage to the affected workers, ensuring they have access to quality healthcare services.
The Council commended the College's host community for its continued cooperation and support, particularly its efforts to promote the development and stability of the institution. The meeting was attended by various stakeholders, including Permanent Secretaries representing the Ministries of Education, Finance, and Justice, as well as officials from the Bureau of Human Resources and Bureau of Parastatals Monitoring Office.
