Former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo has expressed confidence that Nigeria will emerge as a great global force, as prophesied by divine leaders. Speaking at the Redemption Camp during the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) October Holy Ghost Service in Lagos, Osinbajo led millions in thanking God for Nigeria's 66th anniversary. He cited Jeremiah 29:11, which states that God's thoughts toward Nigeria are for peace and a hopeful future, not evil.

Osinbajo referenced numerous prophetic declarations from esteemed spiritual leaders, including Pa Sydney Elton and Pastor Enoch Adeboye, which all foresee Nigeria's eventual greatness. He asked the congregation, "How do I know that God truly has this vision for Nigeria?" Osinbajo answered that God's promises and prophecies given to His children and prophets assure him of the nation's bright future.

The former VP highlighted tangible physical evidence of God's blueprint for Nigeria, including the country's vast natural wealth, such as oil, gas, gold, and copper, as well as key technology, critical minerals, arable land, renewable energy sources, and exceptional human capital. However, Osinbajo emphasized that divine promises require human effort and cooperation to come to fruition.

Osinbajo led the congregation in intense intercessory prayers focused on three key areas needed to fulfill Nigeria's destiny. He charged believers to act as the "salt" and "light" of Nigeria, turning away from wrongdoing to lead a moral and structural rebirth, citing Matthew 5:13–14 and 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Drawing from Proverbs 21:1, Osinbajo prayed for God to awaken the conscience and will of leaders across the political, judicial, legislative, and business sectors, granting them wisdom and the fear of God to bring security, jobs, and abundance. He specifically prayed for young people to thrive, prosper, and fulfill their role in making the country great, using Psalm 127:1.

Osinbajo encouraged citizens to hold fast to the divine mandate over Nigeria, declaring that Nigerians will eat the good of the land according to God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11. The theme of the 2026 RCCG October Holy Ghost Service is "HEAVEN". The event was attended by millions of people.

The former VP's message was one of hope and reassurance, as he emphasized that God's plans for Nigeria's peace and prosperity remain intact. With faith and human effort, Osinbajo is confident that Nigeria will fulfill its divine destiny and become a great nation.
