Dr. Wole Oluyede, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, and Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have pledged to deliver 90% of votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. They made the pledge at a mobilisation rally organised by Oluyede's Oluyede Progressive Alliance for Renewed Hope Agenda (OPARHA) in Ado-Ekiti. The rally aimed to demonstrate President Tinubu's substantial support across political divides in Ekiti State.

Oluyede and Governor Oyebanji stated that the PDP and APC are going into the 2027 election as a united family, promising to mobilise massive support and deliver a minimum of 900,000 votes for President Tinubu. Oluyede, a PDP stalwart, has been rooting for President Tinubu's re-election bid through his grassroots platform, OPARHA. He declared his commitment to working with supporters and stakeholders to ensure Tinubu secures an overwhelming victory in Ekiti.

Oluyede revealed that his supporters in the PDP will embark on door-to-door mobilisation across the 16 Local Government Areas of Ekiti State for President Tinubu in the 2027 election. He expressed gratitude to PDP members in Ekiti for supporting him and agreeing to support President Tinubu. Oluyede also mentioned that he has spoken with President Tinubu, who has promised to stand with them, ensuring the development of Ekiti State.

Governor Oyebanji described Oluyede's decision to mobilise support for Tinubu as a demonstration of his commitment to peace and the development of Ekiti State. Oyebanji commended Oluyede and his supporters for putting aside partisan differences and joining the campaign for Tinubu's re-election. He recalled the struggle for Ekiti State's creation, where founding fathers emphasised unity among the people, irrespective of political, religious, or other differences.

Governor Oyebanji noted that the alliance between Oluyede and himself is significant, showing that political differences should not undermine the collective interest of Ekiti people. He urged APC members to cooperate with members of the Oluyede-led alliance and avoid unnecessary rivalry at the grassroots. Oyebanji advised them to organise joint meetings and rallies where necessary, citing the collaboration between him and Oluyede as an example of cooperation and peace.

The governor emphasised that Tinubu's re-election is critical to Ekiti State's continued development, citing federal projects and support that have positively impacted the state. Oyebanji described President Tinubu as the most supportive president to Ekiti State, highlighting the importance of cooperation and putting the interests of the people above partisan considerations.

Oluyede also appealed to President Tinubu to reciprocate the support by continuing to prioritise Ekiti State's development. He requested Governor Oyebanji and President Tinubu's support for Ekiti South Senatorial District to produce the next governor of the state. The rally demonstrated the unity and cooperation between political leaders in Ekiti State, with a focus on supporting President Tinubu's re-election bid.
