Non-indigenes in Kaduna State, under the Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the All Progressives Congress, have expressed their support for Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. The group made this known during a mega rally in Kaduna, themed “Together as One, We Stand for Uba Sani – Our Man.” The event, which had a carnival-like atmosphere, started at 9 am and drew a large crowd from various ethnic associations.
The rally commenced from the Kigo Road area, where many non-indigenes reside, and proceeded through Constitution Road and Ahmadu Bello Way before ending at the APC secretariat. Leaders and members of different ethnic associations participated, marching through the streets and displaying placards and banners in support of the APC administration. Comrade Jerry Adams, the running mate to Governor Uba Sani, addressed the gathering, representing the governor.
Adams stated that Governor Uba Sani’s administration is committed to treating all residents equally, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds. He emphasized that the governor has demonstrated through his policies and programs that Kaduna belongs to everyone living and doing legitimate business in the state. Adams described Governor Sani as a leader for all, including Muslims, Christians, and people of various ethnic groups.
Adams urged non-indigenes to continue supporting the administration and mobilize their families and communities for the 2027 elections. He appreciated their solidarity and encouraged them to maintain unity and support the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu. According to Adams, both state and federal administrations are committed to improving the lives of Nigerians.
Larai Ishaku, Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, highlighted the state government's initiatives aimed at improving residents' welfare and economic well-being. She mentioned government support for businesses and interventions designed to enhance livelihoods. Ishaku urged the people to continue supporting programs that promote good governance and improve their standard of living.
Chief John Nwankwere, one of the rally conveners, stated that the event aimed to demonstrate non-indigenous communities' support for the APC administration. He reaffirmed the participating groups' commitment to the party and their intention to continue mobilizing support for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections. Other speakers, including Chief Patrick Lawson, Chairman of the Political Committee of Ndigbos in Kaduna State, expressed similar sentiments.
