As the new school year approaches, the Algerian province of Oum El Bouaghi is set to welcome students into new educational facilities. A primary school and a middle school are scheduled to open, with the primary school, named after martyr Issaoui Qauder, located in the Jihfa neighborhood. The middle school, named after martyr Berbari Saleh, is situated in the Ain Fakroun area.
According to a source within the Oum El Bouaghi education department, all necessary arrangements have been made for the opening of these new schools. The primary school in Jihfa and the middle school in Ain Fakroun are ready to receive students. Additionally, the construction of six primary schools and six middle schools is underway, with a focus on completing these projects by the end of the first trimester of the upcoming academic year.
The Oum El Bouaghi public works department is overseeing the construction of various educational facilities. The department's head of operations, Houssini Sufian, stated that the sector is closely monitoring the progress of these projects. Several educational institutions are near completion and are awaiting the necessary documentation to be transferred to the education sector.
Among the projects nearing completion are a primary school in the Jihfa neighborhood and another in the 589 housing estate. Furthermore, construction has started on two more primary schools, one in the "B" land plot in Oum El Bouaghi, which is 90% complete, and another in the Sifia neighborhood in Sighus, which is 65% complete.
In terms of middle schools, aside from the one in Ain Fakroun, another middle school in the "C" land plot in Oum El Bouaghi is nearing completion. A middle school in the 7th base area, which will provide 300 meals, is expected to open in Ain Millel. Additionally, construction is underway on a middle school in the new city on the Khenchela road in Ain El Beyda, which is 50% complete.
The construction of a high school that can accommodate 1,000 students in the "B" land plot in Oum El Bouaghi is also in progress, with 80% of the work completed. Moreover, three school canteens are scheduled to open in various locations, and work is ongoing on three more canteens, which are expected to be completed by the end of October.
The Oum El Bouaghi province is also investing in school infrastructure, including the construction of semi-internal housing and classrooms. Three semi-internal housing facilities and three classroom extensions have been completed, with more projects underway.
