Nemchem International Limited, a leading hospitality company, has announced a job opening for a Senior Food and Beverage Manager in Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, conferences, room service, catering, and other F&B outlets. The position requires an individual with extensive experience in hotel, resort, lodge, or high-volume hospitality environments.

The Senior Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of F&B standard operating procedures (SOPs), service standards, and operational procedures. The candidate will lead, manage, train, and develop F&B teams across different locations, prepare staff schedules, and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Additionally, the successful candidate will monitor departmental performance and ensure agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.

The ideal candidate should have a diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field. A minimum of 8-10 years' progressive experience in food and beverage operations, with significant experience at management level, is required. Previous experience as a Senior F&B Manager, F&B Manager, Hotel Operations Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar senior position is highly desirable.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and people-management skills, commercial and financial awareness, excellent customer-service orientation, and strong problem-solving ability. The candidate should also have strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety requirements, as well as proficiency in POS, inventory, and hospitality management systems.

The Senior Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for managing departmental budgets, revenue targets, and expenditure, while maintaining strict control over food and beverage costs, wastage, and operational expenses. The candidate will monitor stock levels, purchasing, storage, stock rotation, and stock variances, and conduct regular stock takes and investigate discrepancies.

Nemchem International Limited is looking for a mature, hands-on, and commercially driven hospitality professional who can take ownership of the entire F&B function. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate measurable results in revenue growth, cost reduction, stock control, staff performance, and guest satisfaction. Candidates with experience working across multiple properties, locations, or countries will be highly considered.
