Since June 2026, approximately 18,000 students in the territory of Djugu, Ituri province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, have benefited from security measures implemented by the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Congo (MONUSCO) under its Safer Schools campaign. The initiative, in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC), aims to promote the continuity of education in areas affected by insecurity.
