MultiChoice Ghana has introduced four new DStv packages, aimed at providing more affordable options for customers. The new packages, launched by Country CEO and Managing Director Alex Okyere, are part of an evolution of the DStv brand. The company has moved from six existing packages to four new ones: Starter, Select, Sports, and Ultimate. This change is designed to offer customers more flexibility and affordability.

The Starter pack, priced at GH¢50 per month, offers 90 channels, including Akwaaba Magic, Premier League Match of the Week, and Cartoon Network. This entry-level pack aims to make DStv accessible to every household in Ghana. Customers previously on the Access package, which cost GH¢98, will now get more content for GH¢50. The Starter pack also includes 100% of La Liga, featuring El Clásico matches between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Select pack, priced at GH¢100 per month, offers 123 channels, building on the Starter pack with additional channels like CNN, Zee World, and PSL. It also includes M-Net Movies Plus, M-Net Movies Stars, and M-Net Movies Legends. This pack replaces the Family package, which previously cost GH¢188. Customers will now get more content for GH¢100.

The Sports pack, priced at GH¢250 per month, offers 100% of all football on DStv, including Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, La Liga, and Serie A. This pack replaces the Compact Plus package, providing customers with a more affordable option for football content. The Ultimate pack, priced at GH¢570 per month, replaces the Premium package and offers all DStv content, including premium sports like Formula 1 and golf.

According to Alex Okyere, the decision to launch these new packages was taken to reach more Ghanaians who had not been able to afford DStv. The company aims to make its services more accessible to a wider audience. The new packages will be available from November 5, offering customers more affordable options for entertainment and sports content.

The new packages have been streamlined to provide customers with more flexibility and choice. The Starter and Select packs are designed to offer affordable options for customers who want to access a range of channels, while the Sports and Ultimate packs cater to customers who want premium sports content. This change is part of MultiChoice Ghana's efforts to evolve the DStv brand and provide more value to customers.

MultiChoice Ghana's move to introduce new packages is expected to attract more customers and increase its market share. The company's focus on affordability and flexibility is likely to appeal to a wider audience, particularly in a competitive market. With the new packages, MultiChoice Ghana aims to solidify its position as a leading provider of entertainment and sports content in Ghana.
