He has extensive experience in telecommunications and business management across Africa, having previously served as Vice President for the West and Central Africa region and later as Vice President for the Southern and East Africa and Ghana region between September 2017 and December 2020.
Asante's experience within the MTN Group also includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana and MTN Rwanda, where he was involved in driving financial and operational performance, people development, and sustainable business growth. Before joining MTN, Asante held senior leadership positions in human resources and general management. He has also served on several boards within the MTN Group.
