The program is being implemented by the Regional Company for Multi-Services of Casablanca-Settat, in partnership with the Casablanca-Settat region. The project is financed by the Ministry of Interior with 245.6 million dirhams and the General Directorate of Local Authorities with 105.2 million dirhams. The program's objective is to reduce regional disparities in access to clean drinking water and bring this essential service closer to rural populations.
The project involves the construction and reinforcement of water supply networks, infrastructure, and related facilities. In the Sidi Bennour province, six centers will benefit from the program, including Sptt Al Ma'arif, Oulad Amran, Matran, and others, with a total cost of approximately 35 million dirhams. The works include the construction of water supply networks, elevated water tanks, and pumping stations.
In the El Jadida province, the program will benefit the center of Sidi Houssine Ben Abdellah and six rural communities, with a cost of around 8.6 million dirhams. The project involves the construction of 19 kilometers of water pipes, nine public fountains, and an elevated water tank with a capacity of 150 cubic meters. The program will benefit around 1,200 families, or approximately 6,000 people.
The Regional Company for Multi-Services of Casablanca-Settat is responsible for implementing the projects, including preparing technical studies, launching tender procedures, and monitoring the works. The company is also responsible for the administrative and financial monitoring of the projects.
The program's implementation is underway, with the works in Sidi Bennour province already 90% complete. Once completed, the program will significantly improve access to clean drinking water for rural communities in the Dar Boujdour region. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the living conditions of the local population.
