A provincial seminar was held in Khénifra, Morocco, to discuss the importance of community mobilization in combating school dropout and reintegrating out-of-school students. The event, organized by the provincial education ministry, was attended by educators, parent associations, local officials, and civil society representatives. The seminar aimed to promote coordination among stakeholders and explore innovative strategies to address the issue.

The seminar, themed "From Dropout to Catch-up: Towards Innovative and Sustainable Community Mobilization," is part of the second phase of the "Direct Integration Caravan" operation for the 2026-2027 school year. The event brought together various partners, including the Ministry of Public Prosecution, Justice, and social services. Safaa Kestani, provincial director of education, highlighted the convergence of strategies among partners to address childhood issues. She reported that 1,092 students who were out of the education system have been reintegrated, thanks to community synergy. Some dropouts were redirected to vocational training centers and social programs, demonstrating a collective effort to combat this issue.

Abbas Adaouch, president of the local Council of Ulemas, emphasized that the fight against school dropout is a shared societal responsibility.
