The first edition of the Takant youth gathering, themed "Takant Youth Gathering: A Space for Empowerment and Leadership," began on Sunday in Tidjikja, Mauritania. He added that the gathering is in line with the government's program to empower youth, invest in their potential, and involve them in shaping and implementing public policies.
Ould Al-Trard emphasized that the administrative authorities, in line with the vision of President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, will support and be a cornerstone for initiatives that aim to promote youth and develop their leadership and professional skills. Meanwhile, Tidjikja mayor, Jidou Ould Manab, expressed his support for serious youth initiatives that contribute to serving the state, promoting cooperation, and developing youth capacities.
The general coordinator of the Takant youth gathering, Mohamed Ould Brahim, welcomed the attendees, stating that the event provides an opportunity for members to meet, engage in dialogue, and discover the talents of the state's youth. He explained that the gathering will celebrate the cultural heritage, encourage sports, literary, and cultural talents, support youth initiatives, and discuss training, employment, entrepreneurship, and local development.
The gathering, which will last for three days, includes various activities such as a blood donation campaign, a cleanliness campaign, training sessions for youth, and a Quranic recitation and literature competition. The event was attended by senior officials, including the assistant governor of Tidjikja district, Harter Ahmad Salem Al-Kihal, and the regional delegate of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Employment, Sports, and Civil Service, Sidi Ali Ould Ma'ruf.
