The third edition of Nigeria's premier secondary school competition, Mathema 3.0, is set to take place on Thursday in Lagos. Several corporate brands and organizations, including Golden Penny Foods, Stanbic IBTC, NASCO Group, BIC, Vitazade, and Munro, have pledged their support for the event. Africa's most consistent and award-winning marketing and advertising journal, Brand Communicator, as well as location marketing giants Alpha & Jam and Brandleep, are also backing the competition.

According to Segun Osuneye, lead convener of Mathema 3.0, the annual mathematics competition and leadership conference will feature schools and students from across Nigeria, particularly from the South West, vying for a top prize of about three million naira across junior and senior categories. The event, which will be held at LTV, aims to make mathematics accessible, inspiring, and transformative for secondary school students across Nigeria.

Mathema 3.0 has been dedicated to achieving its goal since its first edition, using competitions, leadership conferences, creative exhibitions, and educator development programs. The initiative focuses on making mathematics more engaging and enjoyable for secondary school students. This year's edition promises to deliver its boldest event yet, combining numbers and art.

Joshua Ajayi, Chief Executive Officer of Awesome Communications, publishers of Brand Communicator, expressed his company's pride in supporting Mathema 3.0. He stated that the company wants to be associated with exceptional initiatives that can nurture young minds and deliver a lasting impact on Nigeria's education landscape.

In addition to the competition, Mathema 3.0 is extending its impact through "Mathema 100," a long-term sponsorship initiative aimed at sending underprivileged but skilled students to school every year. This move demonstrates the commitment of the organizers and their partners to making a positive difference in the lives of young Nigerians.

The support from various corporate brands and organizations is a testament to the growing recognition of the importance of mathematics education in Nigeria. By lending their brand equity to the initiative, these companies are contributing to a movement that seeks to reshape how the country's next generation experiences mathematics.

With the backing of major brands and a well-planned event, Mathema 3.0 is poised to make a significant impact on mathematics education in Nigeria. The competition and leadership conference will not only provide a platform for students to showcase their mathematical skills but also inspire and empower them to become future leaders.
