Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political and Special Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, has inaugurated two political support offices in Katsina as part of efforts to consolidate political structures in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections. The inauguration, which took place on October 2, 2026, in Katsina metropolis, brought together political leaders, former lawmakers, local government chairmen, councillors, and representatives of various groups.

The two offices inaugurated were that of the Wazirin Tinubu Ambassador Movement and the 360 Plus 1 Support Tinubu/Dikko 2027 organisation. The Wazirin Tinubu Ambassador Movement, led by Alhaji Aliyu Mansir, is expected to serve as a platform for public engagement, political awareness, and dissemination of information on policies and programmes of the Tinubu/Radda administration.

The 360 Plus 1 Support Tinubu/Dikko 2027 organisation, led by Hon Salisu Hamza Rimaye, is positioning itself to strengthen political coordination and grassroots engagement in support of President Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda. According to Rimaye, the organisation was established by 13 lawmakers who could not secure tickets at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary but were encouraged by Masari to remain in the party and continue contributing to its success.

Masari’s participation in the inaugurations highlights his continuing role in political consultations and relationship-building, particularly in the North-West, where grassroots networks and cooperation among stakeholders remain key features of party organisation. As presidential adviser with political responsibilities, Masari operates at the intersection of national leadership and regional engagement.

The inauguration of the offices and subsequent stakeholder meetings underscore the importance political actors are placing on organisation, consultation, and grassroots connections as 2027 approaches. The activities centred on political coordination, party unity, and expansion of support structures for President Tinubu and Governor Radda as preparations for the next electoral cycle take shape.

Following the inauguration of the offices, Masari and Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Engr. Muttaka Rabe Darma, also met with representatives of former PDP members who recently defected to APC from 34 local government areas. The delegation, led by Hon. Tumburkai, engaged the presidential adviser on strengthening their integration into APC and sustaining grassroots mobilisation.

The engagement provided a platform for defectors to discuss their political expectations, coordination at local government level, and commitment to supporting structures of President Tinubu and Governor Radda. Masari’s engagement with the group underscored his role in facilitating consultations and strengthening relationships among different constituencies as APC continues efforts to expand its grassroots network ahead of 2027.
