The Institut Simon Finance et Management (ISFMI), a private university in Mali, recently held a graduation ceremony for its 2025-2026 promotion, Salikou Sanogo. The event took place on September 26, 2026, at the Hotel de l'Amitié in Bamako. The ceremony was attended by students, parents, friends, honored guests, and faculty members. The university's president, Seydou Togola, expressed gratitude to all attendees and observed a minute of silence in memory of a deceased colleague and Malian soldiers.

During the ceremony, President Togola presented the university's faculty and highlighted the benefits provided to students, including internships in major Malian and multinational companies, as well as opportunities in high-level administration. He assured the public that the university's licenses and master's degrees are highly valued in the job market. The Director of Studies at ISFMI, Pr Toumani, also contributed to the event and presented words of appreciation to the public.

The ceremony was held under the high patronage of Mali's Transitional President, General Assimi Goïta, and was presided over by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Alassane Diallo. The event was organized jointly by Malian authorities, the company Élégance Italo-Malienne SARL, and ISFMI University. The theme of the event was "Moteur de Croissance, d'Intégration, de création de Richesses et d'emplois Durables".

The evening featured a fashion show showcasing Malian cotton and the presentation of the "Trophée Coton Malien" award, which recognizes the best young stylist from the AES. Twenty young stylists from AES participated in the fashion show and received appreciation from the public. The event also included the presentation of a book written by Dr. Sidiki Traoré, titled "Réforme budgétaire dans le secteur public au Mali: Analyse de l'utilisation des outils de contrôle".

The book, prefaced by Professor Toumani Bagayoko, discusses the budget reform in Mali's public sector and its implications for modernizing public action. The author emphasizes the need for a culture of performance in managing public resources in Mali. The representative of the graduates, Bassy Nouhoun SIMBARA, expressed gratitude to the university's president and promoter, Seydou Timbely, and described ISFMI as a "family" for his promotion.

SIMBARA thanked the university's faculty and administration for their guidance and support, and encouraged his fellow graduates to make good use of their diplomas and engage in the progress of Mali. The ceremony's guest of honor, Salikou Sanogo, expressed his pride in being the namesake of the 2025-2026 promotion and advised the graduates to be persevering, disciplined, and competent.

Sanogo emphasized the importance of humility, initiative, and being useful to the nation, and encouraged the graduates to "not just seek to succeed in life, but also to succeed in their lives". The graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the 111 students who received their diplomas, and the university looks forward to seeing its graduates make a positive impact in their respective fields.
