The Malagasy authorities have made significant progress in resolving the case of the deadly attack on Nandrindra Mamitoky Njaratiana, also known as Toky, in Anosibe on October 14. Three men and one woman have been taken into custody and charged in connection with the murder. The suspects were detained at Tsiafahy and Antanimora following their arraignment. The investigation revealed that the coiffeur of Toky was the informant who provided the gang with crucial information.

According to the police, the coiffeur of Toky provided the gang with details about his client's itinerary and financial transactions, which facilitated the attack. The coiffeur reportedly informed the gang, led by Mamenosoa, about Toky's plans to make a purchase in Anosibe. Mamenosoa is considered the mastermind behind the attack and was arrested on October 19 in Betroka. The police also apprehended the driver of the taxi-moto used by the gang during their crimes.

A woman was also arrested for her role as a receiver of stolen goods for one of the suspects who remains at large. The authorities have confirmed that Mamenosoa was identified through footage from security cameras during the attack. Furthermore, he revealed the identity of the supplier of the firearm used in the crime, who was subsequently killed by another gang member during a police operation on October 27.

The gang is suspected of multiple crimes, including the attack on a cash-point attendant in Ambilanibe on September 14. During this incident, the gang members stole money and phones from their victim and left her injured. The Malagasy police have been conducting a crackdown on the gang, resulting in two violent confrontations in 67 Ha and Ampangabe, which led to the deaths of two suspects.

In addition to the three suspects currently in custody, four women, one man, and a minor were also apprehended during the police operations. They have all admitted to participating in the gang's activities. While the adult male was detained at Tsiafahy, the women and minor were imprisoned at Antanimora. The authorities continue to pursue the remaining suspects, including Mamenosoa.

The Malagasy police have been commended for their efforts in dismantling the gang and bringing the perpetrators to justice. The case has highlighted the importance of vigilance and the need for citizens to be aware of their surroundings. The authorities have urged the public to report any suspicious activities to prevent similar crimes from occurring in the future.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working to apprehend the remaining suspects. The case serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in maintaining public safety and security. The Malagasy authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to fighting crime and protecting citizens.
