Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, patriotic, and committed to building a stronger and more prosperous nation. However, he noted that the country is yet to achieve full independence, citing the continued experience of neo-colonial influence from powerful nations. Olawoyin charged the Federal Government to take decisive steps towards harnessing and effectively utilizing the country's abundant natural resources.
Olawoyin also urged Nigerians to remain law-abiding and support government efforts aimed at rebuilding the nation and promoting sustainable development. He emphasized the need for collective action to address the country's economic challenges and improve the living conditions of Nigerians. The cleric's remarks resonated with the congregation, who prayed for the country's progress and prosperity.
The highlight of the service was a special prayer for Oyo State and the nation. The Head of Service, Dr Adenike Fasina, was accompanied by several dignitaries, including Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke, and Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Segun Olayiwola. Other notable attendees included political appointees, Permanent Secretaries, and General Managers.
