Libya's Brega Oil Marketing Company has stated that the shortage of cooking gas in Tripoli and some areas is temporary and limited. The company's spokesperson, Ahmed Al-Maslaty, attributed the shortage to logistical delays in the arrival of some gas tankers. He emphasized that the operational situation is heading towards stability, with efforts ongoing to boost the local stock according to a sequential schedule for the arrival of gas shipments.

According to Al-Maslaty, the tanker "Al-Tahadi 2" is set to arrive at the port of Tripoli on Monday evening, carrying approximately 1,906 metric tons of gas. The unloading and pumping operations are expected to start immediately to cover the needs of the area. This development is expected to help alleviate the shortage and restore supplies to normal levels.

Another tanker, "Derna", is scheduled to arrive at the port of Tripoli on Tuesday morning, carrying around 2,300 metric tons of gas. The tanker is then expected to head to the port of Benghazi, with an anticipated arrival at the port of Jelianah on October 29. The company is also expecting the arrival of other tankers in the coming days.

The Brega Oil Marketing Company has called on citizens to follow its official page to stay informed about the locations and working hours of immediate filling centers, gas distributors, and direct sales points announced daily. The company stressed the importance of these updates to ensure that citizens are aware of where and when they can access cooking gas.

The company also emphasized the crucial role of inspection teams and the municipal guard in monitoring distribution operations on the ground. This oversight aims to guarantee that gas is delivered to citizens according to approved prices and mechanisms, thereby preventing any potential exploitation or irregularities.

The shortage of cooking gas in Tripoli and other areas has caused concern among residents, who rely heavily on gas for their daily needs. The Brega Oil Marketing Company's efforts to address the shortage and stabilize supplies are therefore crucial in maintaining the well-being of the population.

The company's response to the crisis highlights its commitment to ensuring a stable and reliable supply of cooking gas to meet the needs of Libyan citizens. With the arrival of new shipments, the situation is expected to improve, and residents can expect a more consistent supply of this essential commodity.
