According to reports, two Grebo citizens from River Gee County, identified as Godfrey Kligbeh and Ransford A. Zloryou, disappeared in May 2026, and their whereabouts remain unknown. The body of Grebo elder Sam Geekor was discovered on October 23 in Kanneh Clan, Grand Gedeh County, after he was reportedly declared missing. A coroner's jury observed a cut mark on the left side of Geekor's neck, but the official cause and circumstances of his death have not been publicly established.

The incidents have heightened concerns within the Grebo community, prompting a traditional demonstration in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, on October 26. Residents called for answers regarding the disappearance and death of the Grebo citizens. Rep. Wuo acknowledged the community's right to peacefully express its concerns but urged residents to remain calm and avoid speculation.
